The Team Captain-DSR is responsible for growing TDS Broadband revenues. They will assist the Supervisor-Direct Sales with training and coaching a team of Direct Sales Representatives (DSR) to meet and/or exceed their sales and revenue targets, grow the customer base, and evaluate all aspects of consumer sales to ensure we are aligned with TDS' Star Qualities. The individual will assist in directing, supervising, training and evaluating the performance of staff members. They will help manage the day-to-day application of organizational policies and procedures in the absence of the Supervisor. The Team Captain-DSR will also be responsible for a monthly sales quota.
Follow-up appointments or scheduled appointments with other sales reps and their customers to help close sales.
Answer phone calls from the DSR's and provide guidance to DSR's both in the field and in the office when problems are encountered
Help train all new hires during the on boarding process as well as provide training and guidance for the DSR's on a regular basis.
Insure that all DSR roles and responsibilities as well as company policies and procedures and explained and adhered to.
Maintain a personal monthly sales quota.
Participate in community events with their team to promote and sell the company's products and services and help with the set up and clean-up of events
Manage cancels and work with DSRs and sales admin on any details preventing a sale from being entered.
Help the Supervisor manage any problems that a DSR does not have the experience to handle
Submit daily/weekly reports to the Supervisor
Maintain technical knowledge and interpersonal skills necessary to achieve success in position; other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
2+ years professional work experience OR Associate degree or higher
2+ years outside sales experience
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, insurance, and have access to reliable transportation
Other Qualifications
Understanding of the cable industry, including products and services.
Coaching and mentoring experience.
Track record of success in sales.Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to convincingly persuade others as evidenced in person interviews and via telephone.
Ability to work independently as evidenced by identifying problems, gathering data, weighing the facts, consulting others as necessary, and making decisions.
Computer literacy (i.e., Excel, Word, email, Internet).Ability to meet and exceed regular quota requirements.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
