Baja Broadband, a TDS company is now hiring Call Center Representatives for the Alamogordo office.
Call Center Representatives (CCR) are key contributors in BAJA's overall consumer strategy to grow, delight and retain our customers by providing exceptional customer service. The CCR primarily handles inbound calls within a contact center environment. This position is responsible for outbound calls as well to follow up with customers on an order, confirm installation date, complete service quality surveys, collect payment, and others as business needs require.
CCR's work with customers to resolve billing and service inquiries, provides basic service troubleshooting diagnostic support, collect payments, and promotes BAJA's broadband products and services. They need to stay current on all pricing, procedures, promotions, tools, and systems used to place orders, collect payments, update billing, answer questions, and resolve issues.
Pay: is $9.50-10/hour based on experience.
Monthly Performance Bonuses
Hours: FULL-TIME Training is 8am-5pm M-F for the first couple weeks, then core hours become 11am-8pm M-F and Saturdays 9-6. (Get every Sunday and a week day off)
Inbound Calls: Answer questions regarding services, discuss billing questions and address service concerns; resolve non-payment of bills; assess customer needs and promote broadband services to existing and new customers.
Outbound Calls: Follow up with customers on an order, confirm installation date, complete service quality surveys, collect payment, and others as business needs require.
Place new installation orders, service orders for disconnects and account changes generated from the customer. Schedule install appointments accordingly; prepare associated paperwork for work orders; process special requests for services such as pay-per-view; and input orders into the computer system.
Responsible for researching customer complaints and processing billing adjustments by inputting credits or other adjustments into computer records for customer accounts.
Required Qualifications
6
months experience in customer service and/or sales environment
6
months experience using a PC with various software packages
Other Qualifications
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work with customers in a professional manner.
Ability to listen to and interpret the needs of the customer.

months experience in a fast paced environment managing multiple tasks
Ability to meet or exceed sales goals by implementing a look, ask, recommend, close, and summarize sales model.
Ability to handle a high volume of phone calls in a structured, contact center environment
Understanding of the broadband industry
Excellent interpersonal communication skills (i.e., verbal, written, listening)
Problem solving skills (i.e. customer complaints, competitive issues, basic service trouble shooting, customer retention)
Successful completion of classroom training will be required
Able to work overtime with advance notice
Ability to work shift with ending time of 8:00 p.m. CST and a Saturday Rotation
